These are our "Most Wanted" items. A list of areas within our effort which need some extra attention.

Several Regions are in dire need of Regional Coordinators.

If you are interested in helping in any region, please fill out this form.

Information: This is the place to submit some Information that is truly want by the individuals of the Forging the Freedom Trail Project Foundation. Inc. The Foundation is "Especially" interested in individual(s), organization(s)who would like to share information on artifacts, maps, surveys, pictures, articles, cemeteries, etc. on African Americans and/or their living in communities throughout New York State. Also including the following:

  • Regional history of Blacks in New York State and Canada from the 1700 hundreds to present, including any information on the underground railroad.
    Historical sites, location of any buildings (past or present) for their preservation and documentation.

  • Stories/events of individuals' participation in activities related to the underground railroad and/or general historical data on African Americans in New York State.

  • Individual(s), organization(s) to present their information on African American history in New York State, at conferences or lectures given by Forging The Freedom Trail Project Foundation.

  • Information to identify and establish relationships with Black Bed and Breakfast entities, Travel Agencies, Bus or Motor Coach Companies and any other business entity associated with the tourism industry, for tourism economic development.

  • Information to establish relationships with Museums, Cultural Institutions, Historical Associations and Societies, Individual Historians, Higher learning institutions, their department heads and other Educators. To extend the learning experience and sharing of information.
